Debra Trimble, PhD, RN, FNP-C, AACRN
Dr. Debra Trimble is an Instructor and Research Nurse Practitioner with Baylor College of Medicine, Departments of Medicine/Infectious Diseases and Pediatrics/Retrovirology in Houston, Texas where she does clinical research exams for various HIV and HPV studies. She completed her master and doctorate of science degrees in nursing at Texas Woman's University. Dr. Trimble has provided care to HIV-infected persons for over 15 years during her 29 years as a nurse practitioner. Dr. Trimble has had the opportunity to teach HIV-related topics to professionals in Tanzania and South Africa, as well as present for many meeting and conferences. In addition to many professional organization memberships, she is an active member in the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care. She has served as a Director-at-Large for two terms on the Board of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care, as a past-president of her local chapter and is currently the Secretary for the local Houston Chapter. Her past research interests have been focused on HIV, women's inner strength, HIV-infected women and domestic abuse and treatment adherence.
