Emily is a family nurse practitioner from Baltimore, MD. She recently completed her MSN/FNP along with the HIV/AIDS specialty program at Duke University School of Nursing. Prior to that, she completed her BSN at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing through the accelerated second degree program. She currently works at the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in the Clinical Research Unit, specifically focusing on viral hepatitis mono and co-infection with HIV. She is particularly interested in how social determinants of health influence people living with and at risk for HIV and associated comorbidities in both local and global settings.
