Robin Hardwicke, PhD, RN, FNP-C, AACRN
PresidentDr. Robin Hardwicke received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from the University of Texas-Tyler (1991), Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from The University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston (1998), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing from Texas Women's University - Houston (2004). Dr. Hardwicke has been practicing as a family nurse practitioner since 1999 specializing in emergency medicine and HIV/AIDS. In 2002 Dr. Hardwicke received the coveted NurseWeek nursing excellence award for community service and was recognized by the Texas Nursing Association, District 9 in the top 20 extraordinary nurses for demonstrating excellence in professional practice. She was appointed an assistant professor in internal medicine in 2004. For 2005 she received the Joanne Ruiz Achievement Award for excellence in clinical practice on the National level for the treatment of individuals infected with HIV/AIDS. She served as director at large on the HIV/AIDS Nursing Certification Board (HANCB) for the 2005 -06 term and on to president elect for the 2007 term. Dr. Hardwicke is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston , TX . Her busy schedule requires her to maintain her own patient panel 3 days a week through the UT Physician group practice as well as manage clinical trials and teach 2 nd year medical students and nurse practitioner students. Fortunately she has Keith her very supportive husband of over 15 years and a very gymnastically inclined daughter Laura.
