Tobin has been practicing as a registered nurse in a variety of settings within Lakeridge Health Corporation. Areas of past employment include the intensive care unit, venous access department, post-anesthetic care unit, and out-patient departments. Tobin is currently Clinical Coordinator and Primary Nurse at the Positive Care Clinic, Whitby , Ontario ; a position she has held since the clinic opening in March, 2001. The out-patient ambulatory care clinic provides care for persons who are at risk, infected, or affected with HIV as well as a variety of other infectious diseases and immunologic disorders. She has been an ACRN since 2003 and the same year joined the HANCB as the first and only Canadian member.
