Robert Manning

 

Robert Manning has been a registered nurse for twenty three years, 17 of which have been exclusively within the field of HIV/AIDS. During this period he cared for patients in home health, through the research protocols of the Community Programs for Clinical Research of AIDS (CPCRA) and as a staff nurse for one of the largest outpatient treatment centers for those with HIV/AIDS, Thomas Street Health Center in Houston, Texas. In 2000 Robert was certified as an AIDS Registered Certified Nurse and in 2002 graduated summa cum laude from the Associate to Bachelor of Science degree program at Texas Woman’s University. Robert currently serves as clinical nurse case manager at Thomas Street Health Center. He is active in the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care and has served as local chapter secretary and president, as well as serving one term on the national ANAC board of directors. Robert has a busy personal life caring for a motorcycle, two cats, an 88 year-old father, and a motorcycle cop boyfriend.
