Debbie Camana, MSN, RN, AACRN
President Elect
Debbie Camana completed both her Bachelors and Masters in Nursing at the University of Virginia. She completed the clinical specialist track focusing primarily on Community and Public Health Nursing. She has clinical experience in a variety of health care settings that include orthopedics, general surgery, epidemiology, infection control, and occupational health. Ms. Camana recently finished a Post Masters Certificate Program at Virginia Commonwealth University to obtain her Adult Nurse Practitioner Certificate.
Debbie Camana is currently employed in Richmond, Virginia where she is the Site Director for the Pennsylvania Mid-Atlantic AIDS Education and Training Center. Formerly, Ms. Camana was a patient education specialist focusing primarily on medication adherence, nutrition and general HIV pathology for the Treatment Intervention Patient-Centered Services (TIPS) Program at VCU where she served at three community centered clinics in Petersburg and Richmond, Virginia. In addition to her regular duties at VCU, Ms. Camana is active in various HIV Community organizations, including the Central Virginia Chapter of ANAC where is is currently the president elect.
Debbie Camana has been a part of the HIV/AIDS Nursing Certification Board since 2004 until 2007 in the capacity of Nominations Chair. She is now currently the President-Elect of the HANCB.
